The surrounding wildlife will be less susceptible, if at all, to lethal circumstances of standard runway procedures. The surface does not provide a natural habitat for wildlife lessening the chances of bird strikes or other animal related accidents.

FOREIGN OBJECT DEBRIS
Many airports must routinely shutdown their runway(s) to clean up foreign object debris that gathers; debris that can severely impair an aircraft and the safety of those onboard. The majority of the FOD is caused by surrounding wildlife. Since the wildlife will have no source of food, water or habitat this will almost surely eliminate this threat.
JET WASH
10lbs per square foot of angular silica sand is filtered into a fiber height of 2 ¼ inches. The angular silica sand binds together, eliminating the threat of Jet Wash. The turf fibers themselves are tufted into a scrim backing which is entirely coated in urethane. The displacement of the fibers will be virtually impossible on any power setting from any aircraft.
EROSION
The installation of our Generation Grass will improve drainage in any area. Erosion and bad drainage are serious issues. On a properly installed project, the problems will be cured. BURN RESISTANCE
Jet fuel on the turf fibers that is ignited in average wind conditions will not spread beyond the fuel-saturated area. The fibers with no fuel on them will melt away from the flame and the silica sand infill system acts as a safeguard to eliminate spreading.
LOAD BEARING
Our base construction and surfacing system will hold well over 50,000lb vehicles with no subsequent damage. Even in heavy rainfall, the surface will not soften enough to bear problems for emergency vehicles or aircraft.

Generation Grass will remain lush and green for the life of the product. It looks and functions like the most well kept natural lawn you have ever laid eyes on.
